We wanted to create an interesting insight into the creative culture of Bristol. William Grant & Sons wanted to theme the night around the concept of 'We Create'.
The evening kicked off at the White Lion at the Avon Gorge Hotel for welcome drinks on the decking overlooking the Brunel's iconic Avon Suspension Bridge and a discussion about the creative culture of Bristol.
We then went to the Bristol Tobacco Factory to get hands on and produce original spray painted works of art using stencils cut from card. Each person in the group made their own individual piece and chose the colours and did all of the spray painting themselves.
We would like to thank Luke Palmer from Collaborative Painting, an arts in health social enterprise, for leading the art workshop and helping to create such a fabulous shared experience.
The group then took off the face masks and headed off to Cow Shed for dinner and then HMSS and Milk Thistle for fabulous cocktails. The evening was a chance to talk about the event and share thoughts and ideas about working together to create art.
Dan Grzonka from Brond and Luke Palmer from Collaborative Painting UK helped create a fantastic team event that combined learning about the creative culture of Bristol and being able to create our own pieces of spray painted stencil street art. The theme of 'We Create' came through well.
Everyone in the team left Bristol inspired with an original canvas that they had created to keep.
