We were inspired by a request from a client to create a painting of Heath Ledger playing The Joker form the film The Dark Knight. During the film there is a car chase and the Joker displays many different sides to his character.
The image was created firstly as a digital image created with multiple layers in Photoshop. The image was then created by hand in paint using a mixture of spray paint, acrylic and Posca paint pens onto a large canvas.

A darker version of the character that was electric.
The powerful punk character created a pop culture image that still stands the test of time now.
